My Self-Summary
I was born in Adrian, Mi. Adopted by a Mixed couple in Detroit where I was raised. I've grown up loving science, science fiction, live music & movies. Since the late 90's I've made web development a hobby & am working on a career in the same. I don't practice or adhere to any religious beliefs yet my beliefs & world-view may coincide with some. I spend a lot of time discussing & reading religious texts. I think religious art is beautiful.

Despite my age I enjoy being around & talking with younger people as much as age appropriate crowds. There's merit in both activities. I have to admit stomping puddles during a storm is more fun than a wined dinner & eating salad with the correct fork.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm changing careers (over recent years)from retail management to study web development. An area I am already familiar with, though without the credentials to make a career of it.

I am obsessive about lowering my cost of living, but increasing my leisure time & that means, mostly, going to the movies!

Learning to play both the ukulele & acoustic guitar (thanks Julia Nunes for the inspiration!)

Going to the gym (ir)regularly to be healthier & somewhat mostly, because I'm back on 'the market'. :P

I'm also trying to live down that I used to hold my fat stomach (that is...when I was fat) and sing "don't you wish your boyfriend was fat like me" to the hairy-fat-stomach-friendly women at my work.

Broadly speaking, what I'm doing with my life might precisely be surmised, i.e. by you, as waiting to die &/or not-really-taking (yes, the hyphens make it a passive act) anything serious. Seriously, not 1 thing, at all.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books are without any doubt, Death Gate Cycle series by Tracy Hickman, Margaret Weis. Favorite movie is Jeremiah Johnson. I love indie, acoustic, folk, jazz, & almost anything performed live whether at a venue or on a corner. Another scope of music includes everything from 4 Non Blondes to Tool (with special shouts out to Grateful Dead, Rusted Root, Metallica & Skunk Anansie)

My favorite song ever is Am I Evil by Metallica. *My* answer is "no, I am not evil". My 2nd favorite song is Me, My Yoke & I by Damien Rice. And, my favorite movie trilogy is not Lord of the Rings, that's my 2nd. My 1st is the "Dollars Trilogy" starring Clint Eastwood.

I don't drive, & unless the inclination to buy a motorcycle overcomes me, I don't plan on it (no DUIs or mess like that, it's a personal choice, pls stop asking me if it's a legal matter--that's right, you're all a great-big, annoying, singularity).
