At first, my experience at Match seemed positive, but I soon realized I would invest a great deal of time and effort preparing a thoughtful introductory letter, only to have the intended recipient block my profile upon reading it. I would have been amused if it only happened once or twice. We’re all here for ostensibly the same reason, the least someone could do is say “No thank you” if she didn't like my photos (that is all she looked at, right?). I suppose it is a small price to pay to learn about their true character.

Wahoo! I think I finally understand what’s going on. I am insane! I have been doing the same thing over, and over, and expecting a different result. Is that not the definition of insanity.? Imagine that! I actually thought I would meet someone here. I actually believed what I read. I actually believed that there was a woman that could appreciate me. Time to get pragmatic and have a long talk with the man in the mirror: I 'm short, bald, and have nothing to offer but my heart. Experience has proven the women on Match expect far more than that.

Dot connecting is easy and I think I have it right on this one. The only way I can regain my sanity is to stop doing the same thing and expecting a different result. The answer is obvious: Try something different and/or change your expectations. I now realize what to expect on Match, and thinking otherwise was foolish. I went through the arduous process of terminating my automatic renewal. Match does not make it easy to cancel your subscription.
