Lunch dates

Postby tongyun » Tue May 05, 2009 7:55 pm

I've discovered that a lunch date is a great way to meet someone for the first time. First of all, lunches can be inexpensive and secondly, if things don't work out, you haven't wasted an evening and can still do things with friends.

Oh yeah for sure lunch dates are great. Drinks at a quiet restaurant are preferable to a noisy food court of course!

I haven't tried lunch dates yet. However I have done the whole candlelight dinner dating thing. And to be honest when people meet during lunch time there's always work pressure which kinda adds an extra stress element.. that's why I think evening to night is the ideal meeting time according to me, for any date

I just think with a lunch date there is just less pressure on both people. Lunch is casual and can be fun and relaxed. That's why I really like lunch dates over dinner dates. If things go really well after a couple of lunch or mid-day dates, then I'll consider a dinner date.

I thought lunch dates were for business people! Taking your business partner or your client or your colleague on a lunch date to discuss work-related issues is a great idea. But don't you think a nice relaxed evening is the best date for a couple with romance and relationships in their minds?

Lunch dates are good.
It gives an easy excuse to skip out on the date early (forgot a business meeting etc.) your job can come in handy here

Yes I agree, lunch dates work well. You see, you just have to talk casually and there’s a lot to talk about at that moment. Not like in a dinner date where it's all formal, so much so that you fell like being formal about the things you to talk about, I think that is the norm. In a lunch date you don’t have to choose the best dress to wear; you just have to be yourself.
