Does eternal love really exist?

Postby Johny » Mon May 11, 2009 2:05 pm

Does eternal love really exist in this World? I've always thought that relationships are a lot of hard work.. and that both parties have to really put in a lot of effort to achieve that healthy love.. that it doesn't 'just happen '

Well this is a hot topic and I am not sure whether anyone can really answer it. According to me eternal love does exists however it seems rare to see such couples. I always admired our forefathers with their commitment and dedication to family relationships, and I'm sure they loved each other, but as to whether it lasted.. I would say, I'd like to think so.

Johny has it right. Relationships take a lot of work by both people. If one person stops giving, then the relationship is dead. In today's world, there are so many distractions that I think it can be challenging to maintain a relationship, but it can be done if you're willing to work at it.

I am sorry if I sound like a pessimist (I am not); but I really don't believe in the existence of "love" between human beings. The success of a relationship depend on how smart you are; how well you have made your choice, the status of your health, your finances, how well-settled you are, how successful at your career, and many more things. Love, I am afraid, has nothing much to do with it.

Yes it does. Keep searching but don't get attached to anyone until you know what kind of person they are.
However, some people do have 'love at first sight'.

I do believe it can happen its just takes time to find that someone and sometimes we feel like giving up! .....Times are different how I would go back to the 40's or 50's when being with someone really mattered. It can happen but now days everyone is selfish ever person has needs if they can be accomidated than there is no reason why true love is not real Just put your self in the other shoes and then maybe things could work out it takes two and when they both care the same than it will work. Sad to say that is hard to find now days!
